Bello Beef CSA: Community Supported Agriculture

More than a beef box. A share in our farm's harvest.

Our CSA is for people who want to buy their beef a little differently.

Each month, our CSA members receive a share of the beef we produce here at Levenvale Farm in Bellingen — certified organic farmland, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished cattle, and a farming system focused on improving the land we rely on.

We have just 75 CSA shares available each month — roughly the equivalent of three cattle.

By taking a share, you're giving us something incredibly valuable as farmers: certainty. We know how much beef our community needs, we can plan our cattle and production accordingly, and we can focus on using the whole animal rather than simply producing more of the cuts everyone wants most.

And in return, we share the guarantee of supply and abundance with you.

What's in my box?

Every month you'll receive a minimum of $260 worth of Bello Beef, generally between 6–10kg, depending on the cuts and products included.

Your box changes from month to month because farming does too.

A cow doesn't give us 100kg of eye fillet. It gives us steaks, roasts, brisket, ribs, mince, bones, fat, offal and everything in between.

So rather than prescribing exactly what's in every box, we share what's abundant.

Your CSA might include:

Rump, eye fillet, T-bone, porterhouse, scotch, brisket, short ribs, osso bucco, blade, flat iron, bavette, diced beef, stir-fry, mince, sausages, roasts and slow-cook cuts.

We also occasionally include things we make from the whole animal — tallow, bone broth, broth concentrate, pâté, beef bacon and other Bello Beef products.

And when there's something extra to share, CSA members are the first people we share it with.

Why CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a partnership between farmers and the people they feed.

Instead of us trying to predict what hundreds of individual customers might order each month, our CSA gives us a committed community who shares in what the farm produces.

That means less waste, better whole-animal utilisation and more certainty for our farm.

For you, it means a freezer stocked with genuinely farm-direct beef, a closer connection to where your food comes from, and the knowledge that your food dollars are directly supporting the farm and farming practices behind it.

You don't choose exactly what comes off a cow. Neither do we.

CSA is about embracing that — eating across the whole animal, trying different cuts and sharing in the seasonal abundance of a real farm.

We love our long-term CSA members.

Every six-month anniversary, we'll add something special to your share as a thank you.

And every 12 months you're with us, you'll receive a complimentary ticket to one of our Paddock to Plate events at Levenvale Farm — so you can come back to the place your food was grown, eat with us and be part of the community you're helping support.

Delivery / Pick Up

Local CSA orders are fulfilled every Tuesday.
Order by Sunday night for Tuesday local delivery.

National CSA orders are dispatched every second Thursday, following our fortnightly beef production cycle. If we have your box ready to go between production weeks, we'll send it sooner.

Your Bello Beef CSA can also be picked up directly from our Farm Shop at Levenvale Farm, Bellingen — 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It's self-serve: simply find your box waiting for you in the chest freezer.

We're self-serve — your labelled box will be waiting for you in the chest freezer.

The beef

Bello Beef is grown on our certified organic farm in Bellingen, NSW.

Our cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished on pasture. We don't grain-finish our cattle, and we don't use growth hormones or routine antibiotics.

Your beef is carefully butchered, packed and frozen, ready for your freezer.

This isn't a subscription to a warehouse full of beef. It's a share in what our farm produces.

And we're pretty bloody grateful to the 75 households who choose to do it with us.
